Why it's hard to DIY

  • ✓ A large wardrobe weighs 80-150kg and often won't fit through doors intact
  • ✓ Dismantling without proper tools risks breaking the whole unit mid-stairs
  • ✓ Carrying down stairs without training is a genuine spinal injury risk

Our approach

  • ✓ We assess on-site whether to carry intact or dismantle first
  • ✓ Experienced crew with proper tools - job done in 30-60 minutes
  • ✓ Price from €40 - includes carrying, transport, and disposal

What's included?

  • ✓ Dismantling on-site when needed (no extra charge)
  • ✓ Transport to Silluse 1 waste facility
  • ✓ Disposal certificate on request

A bed normally has to be dismantled before it can be carried out, and a straightforward frame takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. That grows when the bed has storage drawers, a lifting mechanism, an upholstered frame, a heavy headboard or seized screws. Please empty the drawers and strip the bedding before we arrive. The mattress is a separate item unless the quotation lists it.

The wardrobe is the most variable job in this group. A small wardrobe is simple, but on a sliding-door or mirrored unit we take the doors off before the body and handle the glass separately. If a mirror is already cracked, tell us in advance. A built-in wardrobe needs its own assessment, because dismantling touches the wall, the floor and the skirting. With older furniture we cannot promise that every wardrobe comes out undamaged.

Two workers are standard; a third is added for large mirrored or glass panels, for more complicated dismantling, and for floors without a lift. Around 5-8 dismantled bed frames or 3-6 standard wardrobes fit in our Sprinter van. For a larger wardrobe we ask for a photo and measurements before confirming the price.

Frequently asked questions

Do you dismantle the bed, and is that included?

Yes. A bed normally has to be dismantled before it can be carried out, and a straightforward frame takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. That grows when the bed has storage drawers, a lifting mechanism, an upholstered frame, a heavy headboard or seized screws.

Is the mattress included in the price?

The mattress is a separate item unless the quotation lists it. Tell us when ordering if you want the mattress taken too, and we will include it.

Do I need to empty the drawers and the wardrobe first?

Yes. Please remove bedding, personal belongings and the contents of any storage drawers, and empty the wardrobe completely. That lets the crew start straight away and keeps the quotation accurate.

Can you dismantle a sliding-door or mirrored wardrobe?

Yes. We take the doors off before the body and handle glass and mirrors separately. Large mirrored or glass panels often need a third worker.

What if the wardrobe mirror is already cracked?

Tell us before we arrive. Panels, mirrors and fittings on older furniture can already be weak, and we cannot promise that every wardrobe comes out undamaged. Knowing in advance lets us bring the right protective material.

Can you remove a built-in wardrobe?

That needs its own assessment, because dismantling touches the wall, the floor, the skirting and sometimes the ceiling. Send photos and we will tell you whether, and on what terms, we can take the job on.
