Old wall unit dismantling and removal: How to get rid of the giant?
The problem with massive old furniture
An old Soviet-era wall unit is made of strong and heavy chipboard. They often reach from floor to ceiling and are tightly screwed together in multiple sections.
Attempts to move such a cabinet out of the apartment in one piece usually end in ruined door frames, scratched floors, and severe back pain. Large furniture always requires proper dismantling before removal.
Dismantle it yourself or leave it to a pro?
If you have a cordless drill, a hammer, and plenty of free time, you can take the cabinet apart yourself. But keep in mind that glass doors and mirrors have often become brittle, and breaking them in the living room isn't pleasant.
The Golog team arrives with all the necessary tools. We dismantle the cabinet methodically – starting with the doors and shelves, and ending with the main body. We ensure that walls and floors remain completely pristine.
Where do the cabinet parts go?
After dismantling, we carry all the pieces directly into the van. Wooden parts, glass, and metal hinges/screws are disposed of in Tallinn's waste stations according to wood waste and material recycling rules. All you have to do is empty the cabinet beforehand!
