Waste removal scams and hidden fees: Why 'free' is a trap

Scam #1: The 'Free Acceptance' and expensive transport trap

A common trick in the waste industry is to promise seemingly free disposal or recycling for sorted wood and plastic. This is an illusion to hide outrageous markups in transportation.

To get this 'free' service, you must order transport from them, which they charge at completely unrealistic rates to secretly cover their own disposal costs.

Scam #2: Manipulating the waste code

A massive problem arises during load drop-offs. If a single piece of plastic or drywall is casually thrown into an otherwise 'clean wood' dumpster (often without your knowledge), disaster strikes.

The dump operator will automatically aggressively reclassify the entire container as highly expensive 'Mixed Construction Waste' and forward a 500-euro penalty directly to your inbox.

Scam #3: The phantom overweight scheme

Many firms offer a low base rental price that strictly limits disposal to, for example, 2 tons. When clearing out a basement, you will almost certainly exceed this limit.

For every ton over the limit, they charge insane penalties (e.g., 90€ per ton). Since the truck is weighed at the landfill WITHOUT you present, it is impossible for you to verify if the weight was real, if excess trash was added, or if numbers were falsified. You are essentially paying huge bills based entirely on blind trust.

The Golog System: Our own facility and fixed volume pricing

Golog refuses to use these dishonest 'tonnage-based' tricks. We have **our own private waste facility (Silluse 1)**, making us completely independent from arbitrary landfill penalties.

Our logic is straightforward and 100% safe for you: we provide a price based on VOLUME (m³). The quoted price ALREADY INCLUDES everything—loading by our professionals, transport, and complete final utilization.

This approach guarantees that no matter how heavy an old sofa bed is or what mixed debris is loaded, no phantom 'overweight' invoice or 'waste code violation' bill will ever appear at the end of the month.
